CEFALU | SICILY, ITALY

My first two nights here were amazing. Arrived in Palermo, Sicily and spent an hour on the road to Cefalu. It was quiescently Italian. Terraced houses, narrow roads, farmer markets, sandy beaches and the undeniable freshly prepared Italian cuisine. This island which happens to be the largest in the mediterranean sea had it all (non- coincidentally)! Breakfast was wonderful at Artemis Hotel. A definite 4 star. 10 minutes walk from the old town with a lovely display of modern and ancient architecture.

Breakfast buffet included: Artemis Hotel
Bread
Baguettes
Boiled eggs
Salami
Cakes
Pizza with ham and cheese or vegetables
tea
coffee
juice (pineapple, apples, oranges)
cereals
Fruit portions (pineapples, pomegranates, prunes, apricots, grapefruits)
Yogurts

Spagetti Pomodoro

Go to Italy without trying pizza and pasta? You are bound to always find these two Italian specialties in every nook and corner of a food shop. Beware if you require meals that are gluten free, you might have a tough time deciding where to go for dinner.

Cefalu Recommendation: 4/5
Artemis Hotel: 4/5

LOTS OF LOVE FROM THIS GIRLY
